North Platte, Nebraska?

We are nearing the end of the first day of our trip. We arrived in North Platte exactly 12 hours after departure.
After explaining to the kids, the rules of the road, we departed around 7:15am. Our first stop was at Diamond Joes just over the Iowa border. Lunch was spent at the Agri-symbol park. Pretty cheesy but a welcome rest after 6 hours in the van. Despite our worries of kids bouncing off the vehicle walls, all in all the ride was pretty tame. After arriving, we had dinner at Ruby Tuesday. A quick dip in the pool and it's off to bed. Tomorrow should be half the drive and we'll be touring the Air Force Academy and camping at the Garden of the Gods campground. Should be a fun day!
